How is your broadband holding up during the summer holidays? Don’t let slow internet put a damper on summer holiday fun – switch plans today.

How does your broadband use compare to other families?

Data released by Chorus in the last summer holidays showed:

  • A 36 percent increase in data consumption in January 2020 compared with the previous January.
  • School holidays lead to marked shift in peak usage patterns. During term time there is a clear peak at 4pm when they come home, but when they’re on holiday you can see more consistent use through the day. The biggest different is at 10am which is nearly 30 percent higher than when kids are at school.
  • Happily – there is a clear drop in usage when the sun comes out, so we can see that kids still like to play outside too.
