As NZ prepares to move to a Stage 4 Lockdown, here's what you can expect from NZ Compare. We'll still be here to work with you and help across several areas of life, so that you can concentrate on looking after yourselves and your loved one.

Following the Prime Minister’s announcement on Monday 23 March, people across New Zealand are preparing to move to Stage 4 and a countrywide lockdown for at least 4 weeks.

At NZ Compare we work with, and are part of the supply chain for, essential services. Broadband Compare works with the telecommunication industry. Power Compare helps customers compare plans in the Electricity, gas and power industries.  And Money Compare support people making informed decisions about financial services.

We're actively working with a whole range of partners from mortgage providers to broadband and power companies to meet customer needs in the current environment.

Here is our update on what you can expect from NZ Compare, and your broadband and power providers in the near future.

Business as usual for NZ Compare

In the current situation it will be business-as-usual for NZ Compare and will not impact the services we provide to you.

During the lockdown period, we will continue to work with you and help across several areas of life, so that you can concentrate on looking after yourselves and your loved one.

Everyone at NZ Compare is set up to enable them to work remotely, access our systems and continue to help you make an informed decision about services like broadband, power and financial services.

Please continue to use our sites like Broadband Compare, Power Compare and Money Compare to make an informed choice about broadband, power and money.

If you’d prefer to speak with someone in person, our customer support team are ready and waiting to take your call.

How we can help you

We will do all we can to help you get ahead of the changes that are occurring in everyday life and ensuring your financial wellbeing should be one of your immediate priorities.  So, you should review your broadband provider, you can save up to $500 a year.  Check if you are on the best value power plan for your needs as if you’re in isolation, you and your family will be using more power as you’ll be at home far more.  If you are a homeowner, review your mortgage.  The drop in the OCR means a reduction in a wide range of mortgage rates, and the announcements about Mortgage repayment holidays are developing rapidly.
